I was recently going through some old belongings which included my old computer games from the mid 90′s (stuff like SimCity 2000, SimTower, Widget Workshop, WarCraft 1). At the same time, I came across an old piece of Maxis merchandise which I can honestly say I have never seen anywhere else: a “beanie” propeller hat given out by Maxis at Macworld Expo San Francisco (MWSF) in 1996!

Myst wallpapers for iPhone + iPod Touch
Thursday, May 7th, 2009Well, ever since the recent release of Myst for iPhone, I’ve played quite a few hours’ worth of gameplay. Even though I played the game upon its initial release for Mac in 1993, it still feels pretty fresh to me since I have sort of intentionally play it only every so often, so as to not become “desensitized” to its unique charm, quality and – frankly – unprecedented feeling & ambience.
Anyway, I’ve been taking a lot of screenshots while playing, with the intent of creating wallpapers tailored for iPhone and iPod Touch. This is the first batch, all featuring shots from Myst Island and the game intro and so on.
Myst for iPhone & iPod Touch released!
Saturday, May 2nd, 2009Yeah, that’s right. Myst for iPhone and iPod Touch is now out! Go get it from iTunes Store! It’s a very hefty download at 727mb, so make sure you have at least 1.5gb free on your drive before downloading! The game is $5.99 as I had previously reported, and rated 9+ for “Infrequent/Mild Cartoon or Fantasy Violence”.
