Well, ever since the recent release of Myst for iPhone, I’ve played quite a few hours’ worth of gameplay. Even though I played the game upon its initial release for Mac in 1993, it still feels pretty fresh to me since I have sort of intentionally play it only every so often, so as to not become “desensitized” to its unique charm, quality and – frankly – unprecedented feeling & ambience.
Anyway, I’ve been taking a lot of screenshots while playing, with the intent of creating wallpapers tailored for iPhone and iPod Touch. This is the first batch, all featuring shots from Myst Island and the game intro and so on.

You said here that you are going to try and do all the ages…are you also going to do the other Myst games? and will these also work on the G1 (tmobile) since it is similar to iphone? Thanks!!

Hmm, I doubt I’ll do wallpapers for the other Myst games since that would mean having to play through them, which I don’t know if I’ll do anytime soon!
But, sure I suppose you could use these on the T-Mobile G1, except that I specifically laid out the wallpapers to look the best on iPhone (so the image is perfectly placed between the overlay that the iPhone shows).
