For anyone (like me) who is totally impatient for the release of Myst on the iPhone & iPod Touch, here’s an update.
The game was submitted by Cyan to the App Store back on Apr 17th, however they were later asked on Apr 26th to re-upload their App (with no explanation from Apple – perhaps the file was somehow lost or something).
Unfortunately since that was 4 days ago, it will be anywhere from a few days to a week or two before we see Myst in the App Store. The game will be priced at $5.99.
In the meantime, check out the new Myst iPhone site that Cyan launched a few weeks ago.
One of the forum posts linked above in this post mentions a full roster of credits for the iPhone/iPod Touch version of Myst (copied here verbatim, with profile links added for each person):
- Programmers:
- Data wranglers:
- QA
- Special Beta tester:
Actually I’m pretty glad to verify that I accurately reported a list of people working on Myst for iPhone in my previous post about the game’s impending release. In fact, the wording/syntax is so surprisingly similar, it makes me wonder if Chogon read my earlier post…
Anyway, back to searching for “Myst” every day on the App Store…!
