Matecha.net New Website Launch!

February 7th, 2009

Welcome to the new face of Matecha.net!

I’ve finally redeveloped this site over the past few weeks, with an original design and with a fairly “forward-looking” implementation in terms of code. I built the new site with the intent of being easily able to add new content, and keep visitor interaction ongoing.

My goal for this site, in its new form, is to act as a “central repository” for things I am up to – music, computers, work, technology, events, whatever. After years of people asking “what are you up to lately?”, “how’s the band?” or the like, I’ve been feeling the inclination for ages to get a real decent site going.

The last time I built a new site for Matecha.net was when I first launched the domain nearly 5 years ago, in 2004.

In a technical sense this site has some of the coolest things I’ve built for a site of my own – full WordPress integration, dynamic content all over the place (such as the Imagery section which shows the last 48 photos I’ve posted to Flickr), and one thing I’m fairly proud of: an iPhone-optimized experience. If you have an iPhone, check out this site on it right now!

Anyway, browse around and have fun with the new site. Feel free to leave feedback wherever applicable. Of course, let me know if you have any interesting ideas you feel I ought to have included – I’ll surely be improving the site as I go along.
