My new old MacBook

So, due to some software development projects I’m starting (which you’ll be hearing more about soon), I’ve been needing a more modern Mac to work on.  Fortunately, a friend of mine, Dan Udey, just upgraded to a newer machine, so I figured he may be willing to sell his “old” 1.83ghz MacBook. Quake Live open beta begins Feb 24

ql_buttonSo, I haven’t really been able to post about Quake Live [wikipedia link], due to being restricted by a Non-Disclosure Agreement.  However, the lid comes off the box tomorrow (February 24th) as id Software opens up Quake Live to the public for the beginning of open beta testing.

eMate 300 battery cell replacement

Yes, another post about the eMate 300! I successfully replaced the rechargeable battery cells in the battery pack over the weekend. I actually had to do it twice, as the first time I didn’t do a decent enough job of ensuring all points of contact were contacting enough.

Getting the eMate 300 online – wirelessly
